Terms of Service

The basic rules for creating, playing, and sharing custom grouping puzzles with GroupGrid.

Last updated: June 2026.

These Terms of Service explain the basic rules for using GroupGrid. By using GroupGrid, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

GroupGrid is a custom 4×4 grouping puzzle maker. You can create a puzzle, generate a playable link, share that link, and play puzzles created by other users.

You are responsible for the puzzle content you create or share. This includes puzzle titles, author names, descriptions, group names, words, difficulty labels, explanations, and any other content entered into the puzzle maker.

Do not use GroupGrid to create, share, or promote content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, hateful, harassing, deceptive, defamatory, obscene, infringing, spammy, malicious, or otherwise inappropriate.

Do not include private, sensitive, confidential, or personal information in puzzle content. A shared puzzle link may allow anyone with the link to view and play the puzzle.

You may use GroupGrid for personal, educational, entertainment, classroom, team, community, and similar lawful purposes. You may share puzzle links with others as long as your use follows these terms.

You may not interfere with the operation of GroupGrid, attempt to disrupt or overload the site, bypass security measures, distribute malware, scrape the service in an abusive way, or use the site to send spam or harmful content.

GroupGrid may change over time. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.

Puzzle links may depend on encoded puzzle data. If a link is changed, shortened incorrectly, blocked by another service, or otherwise modified, the puzzle may not load correctly.

The site design, interface, branding, and original materials provided by GroupGrid belong to the site owner or respective rights holders. Puzzle content entered by users remains the responsibility of the user who creates or shares it.

GroupGrid is an independent word grouping puzzle maker. It is not affiliated with The New York Times, NYT Connections, or any related brand.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties about accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or suitability for any specific use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GroupGrid and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages arising from your use of the site.

We may update these Terms of Service as GroupGrid changes. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised terms.
